What does Lisa Johnston Counselling and Psychotherapy offer?

Lisa offers a supportive counselling service aimed at helping you work through your emotional and mental health challenges. She provide one-on-one counselling sessions that are tailored to your unique needs and goals.

Who can benefit from counselling at Lisa Johnston Counselling and Psychotherapy?

Counselling and psychotherapy can be helpful for anyone who is feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply wants a safe space to explore what’s going on in their life. People come to therapy for many reasons — such as anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, grief, or major life changes.

At Lisa Johnston Counselling and Psychotherapy, I work with adults who are seeking support either in person in Dublin or through online therapy across Ireland and the UK. Whether you’re dealing with specific challenges or want to understand yourself better, counselling can offer the space and guidance to make sense of your experiences and move forward at your own pace.

What makes Lisa Johnston Counselling and Psychotherapy different?

Lisa works as a full time psychotherapist, she attends individual, group and peer supervision.  She is passionate about working with you to get to know yourself better, and to build awareness of the changes that are possible in your life, or accepting the things that can't change.  She understand that everyone's needs and experiences are unique, and we tailor each session to your specific goals and concerns.  She is very open to and welcomes feedback.

What is the price of a session with Lisa Johnston Counselling and Psychotherapy ?

The price of a session is €80 euro per 50 minutes session.

How do online sessions work ?

Online sessions take place over a secure video platform, similar to Zoom. Each session lasts about 50 minutes, and you can join from a quiet and private space in your home or another location where you feel comfortable. Before we begin, I’ll send you a link to join the session — there’s no need to download anything complicated.

Online therapy can be a good option if you have limited time, live outside Dublin, or find it difficult to travel to in-person appointments. Many people find that meeting online offers the same sense of connection and support as face-to-face sessions, while also being more flexible and accessible.

Can I switch between in-person and online ?

Yes. Some people prefer to start in person and later move to online sessions, while others do the opposite. I try to be flexible where possible, depending on availability.

If you begin online and later wish to meet in person, there may occasionally be a short wait for an in-person slot. Likewise, if your circumstances change and you’d like to move sessions online, that can usually be arranged quite easily. The aim is to find the format that works best for you and supports consistency in the therapy process
